Open Frame Drives for 2-Phase Stepper Motors

Modularity and Flexible Use

Open frame 2-phase drives combine fieldbus or programmable control functionality with an open structure, offering significant advantages in customization and space-saving. This range is especially suitable for system integrators and designers seeking tailored electronic control.

Cost Reduction and Easy Integration

The absence of an external casing and the option to choose the type of control (fieldbus or programmable) help optimize the budget and meet the specific requirements of each project. Direct installation on PCB or inside existing equipment speeds up assembly time and simplifies maintenance.

The Modbus TCP/IP fieldbus, based on Ethernet hardware, was born as an evolution of the classic Modbus RTU fieldbus. Modbus TCP/IP communication protocol allows multiple masters to connect to the same slave.

Ever Motion Solutions has been one of the first companies in the world to implement and validate the CANopen protocol and the DSP402 on its drives for stepper motors and brushless motors, starting from the early ‘90s.

CANopen is a standard communication protocol widely used in the industrial automation fields. First developed for use with CAN fieldbus, it has also been applied to other types of fieldbuses such as Ethercat CoE.

Thanks to the ELSE technology integrated in the Ever Motion Solutions drives motors current control is so high that vibrations, resonances and noises don’t exist anymore.
